Urinary Infection- Treatment

The most conventional treatment for urinary infections is antibiotics. This is a very tricky solution because there are so many people out there who suffer from chronic urinary infections and their antibiotic treatment only enhances their diseased condition. There are two main reasons for this: 1) Bacteria can develop resistance to antibiotics, especially when patient doesn’t complete his/her antibiotic course. 2) Antibiotics weaken our immune system, thus exposing our tract to further infections.

The risk of having an improperly treated urinary infection is that bacteria can cause a permanent damage to the lining of the bladder. This lining normally protects the bladder wall from infections and urine acidity. When this lining is damaged it becomes easier for bacteria to cling on to the bladder wall the next time it visits our tract. A damaged lining may also allow urine to leak into the bladder wall and cause an inflammation of the bladder or Interstitial cystitis. If bacteria damage our kidneys we are in real trouble. The risk is for having the infection spread to our blood, which is a real life threatening situation.

If you are having urinary infection symptoms, and your health is generally in a good condition, than you may go for antibiotics, but just make sure that you complete your treatment in full (whether it be 3 days or 3 weeks!). Your doctor will prescribe the right antibiotics for you and the duration of treatment according to your specific condition and medical history, so don’t change anything. If your tract is already subjected to recurrent urinary infections, than you are probably as frustrated as I used to be from antibiotics, and are looking for an alternative solution.

Well, whether you are a urinary infection “first timer” or a “many timer”, and whether your preferred method of treatment is antibiotics, or just pumping your system with lot’s of water and cranberry juice- there IS something that you can further do in order to ensure your healing process as well as prevent most of your future urinary infections. The following is my ‘personal recipe’ for effectively treating urinary infections (and I do ONLY this):

1)       Strictly follow all the preventative methods mentioned on this site.

2)       Boost your immunity with 5000 mg of Vitamin C capsules daily or            even better- use a product called Immunity-Plus.

3)       Drink 3 home made Cranberry-Yogurt shakes daily. Blend a 100%      Cranberry juice with plain low-fat yogurt (if you don’t like the taste       you can add some honey to it but not sugar)

4)       Treat your infection with an herbal medicine (I personally recommend UTI-Clear).

It is important to note that if you are in the middle of an antibiotic treatment than it is NOT recommended to stop it by any means. You should continue following your prescribed treatment until it’s done, and meanwhile start applying the method I am using (which is 100% safe) and see if it improves your condition.

The result test of my method will be shown when in a healthy state, your urinary infection doesn’t reoccur again, OR when reoccurring- does not develop into a full blown infection again. If while applying my method your condition still worsens than you should nevertheless approach your doctor for consultation. If it stabilizes or improves than you know you’re on the right track.

If you decide to treat your infection solely by my method and avoid antibiotics (either because you find them unhelpful, or just prefer the more ‘natural way’ like I do), than just remember to be very vigilant regarding the progression of your healing process: In order to make sure that your urinary infection is completely eradicated, I strongly recommend you to consult your doctor and give at least two urine samples even if all symptoms have disappeared having used my method. You want to make sure that your urinary infection has been totally eliminated so that you are spared of unnecessary complications.

I cannot say how long you should wait to test your condition because the urinary infection’s patterns differ from person to person. Most times it should take about 3-7 days to derive conclusions about the progression of your healing process, but just make sure that you do things the right way and keep in touch with your doctor the whole time.

If after applying my way of treatment you experience positive results, than you are most welcome to post a comment and share your successful experience for the benefit of all other readers.

      Good luck!
